AS Jesus assured us in the gospel of John, we who believe in Him should do the same works that He did in His ministry. In fact, Jesus fully expects the believer to do His works so that the world may know that He is who we say He is—Messiah, Lord and Savior. He promised in Mark 16:17 that “Signs would follow those who believe” as they preach His good news.
Larry and Pastor Carlos in Santa Paula Paul boldly states in Romans 15:18 “For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient 19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that … I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.” So as the Apostle declared the wondrous things the Lord had done through him, I declare in the following pages the things that Pastor Carlos Sanchez and I have actually seen the Spirit of God do through us to bring people to Jesus, show them His great love, authenticate His gospel and bring honor to Jesus Christ among the nations. These are but a handful of the thousands of miracles that Jesus has performed on the multitudes of broken people by His touch of salvation, healing and deliverance.

I pray that these actual eye-witness accounts of the Works of Jesus will inspire you to draw near to Jesus to continually fellowship with Him. And from the anointing that consequently flows to you from those intimate times with Christ, you will go forth and “Do the Works of Jesus”.

I. Why Did JESUS Work Miracles?
A. Prove Who JESUS Really Is—the SON of GOD.
· John 20:30- 31 “And many other signs truly Jesus did in the presence of His disciples, that are not written in this book (31) But these are written that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life through His name.”
1. Witness of God
· Acts 2:22 “..Jesus, a man approved of God…with miracles, wonders and signs..”
· Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus...healing all oppressed of the devil..”
2. Witness of Man
· John 3:2 “..we know you are of God…no man can do these miracles…except God be with him.”
· John 11:47-48 “..Man works many signs…if we let Him alone, everyone will believe in Him..”
· Matthew 4:23-24 “..Jesus went about...healing all kinds of sickness…all of ..”
· John 6:2 “Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs…”

B. Demonstrate the Real Image of God.
· John 14:9 “…he who has seen ME has seen the Father.”

· Psalm 27:13 “I would have fainted if I had not believed I would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

C. Move with Compassion on the People.
· Mark 1:40-42 heals the leper
· Matthew 9:35-38 on the multitude (sheep without a shepherd)
· Matthew 14:14 heals the sick in the great multitude
· Matthew 15:32 feeds the 4000
· Mark 5:14 delivers the demoniac of the Gadarenes
Luke 7:13-14 raises the widow’s son from the dead
II. Why Should We Work Miracles?
A. Recompenses the Lamb for His Suffering .
Revelation 5:5-14 “……Worthy is the Lamb…”
Acts 3:1-8, 9-10, 19; 4:4 One miracle brought 5000 men to Jesus.
Acts 8:13 “..Simon believed…seeing the miracles and signs which were done..”
Acts 4:16 “..that a notable miracle has been done…we cannot deny it.”
Romans 15:18-19 “..through mighty signs & wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God. To make the gentiles obedient .”
B. Authenticates God’s Word.
Hebrews 2:4 “God also bearing them witness both with signs, wonders, and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.”
Acts 14:3 “…the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.”
I Corinthians 2:2-5 “..that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
I Corinthians 4:20 “For the Kingdom of God is not in word but in power.”
I Thessalonians 1:5 “For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit…”
C. Demonstrates our Faith in JESUS.

B. We Begin Walking & Acting Like Jesus .
· I John 2:6 “He that says he abides in Him (Jesus) ought himself to walk just like He walked.”
· Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power who went about doing good, healing all oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him.”
· I Corinthians 11:1 “Imitate me just as I also imitate Christ.”
Ephesians 5:1 “ Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.”
III. How Do We Work Miracles?
A. Believe.
· Mark 16:15-18, 20
· John 14:12-13
· John 20:21 “ As the Father sent Me, so I send you..”
B. Receive the Anointing -- the Holy Spirit.
· Matthew 10:1, 7-8
· Luke 9:1-2
· Acts 1:8 “ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…”
· Acts 4:29 -31 “ Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.” 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
C. Be with Jesus, Abide with Him, Continue in prayer.
· Mark 3:14 -15 “…. that they might be with Him….”
· John 15:7 “ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
· I John 2:6 “ He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
· Acts 6:4 (Apostles ) “..we will remain in prayer..”
D . Go and Do the Works.
