Roots - Foundations of our Faith, is a ministry of the Jubilee/Jerusalem Office in Camarillo. We strive to bring the truths of our Hebrew Roots to the Gentile Church by providing teachings, meetings with both Jews & Gentile, tours to Israel, hosting the annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and regular prayer meetings.
We meet the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month at 5:30 pm in the Jubilee Family Room to share a meal, fellowship, worship, sometimes dance, and to dig deep; prophetically regarding current events, and historically & biblically into understanding the Jewish roots of our faith. A $5 donation is requested for the meal. Occasionally, the schedule changes, so please give us your email so we can keep you up to date.
• ROOTS hosts special celebrations of the annual Feasts of the Lord, ie: Passover, Shavuot, Tabernacles, and Hanukkah.
• We offer an annual tour to Israel in November of each year. The dates will be approximately November 7-19, 2011. Please let us know if you would like to reserve a spot. The cost will be approximately $3000 per person, double occupancy. The application and more information will soon be available online. While in Israel, we will work with our ‘Jubilee Humanitarian Aid’ ministry, located in Jerusalem, ministering to both Israelis & Palestinians.
• Weekly times of prayer for Israel are on Fridays at 8-10 am and 4-6 pm, as well as a Torah Watch (reading & discussing the Bible etc., as well as Purim portion that the Jews all over the world are reading that week). It is held at 10am-12 noon on Fridays. These meetings are held in the Prayer area in the Sanctuary at Jubilee.
• We welcome you to join us, allowing yourself to be more deeply grafted into the Jewish Roots of our Faith, and more fully become the One New Man described in Eph 2:14-18: For He Himself (Yeshua!) is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
- Summer sabbatical for Roots (except for Friday times of prayer & Torah readings) - June through August. Next meeting is tentatively planned to be Sept 3rd, 2011 |
