Student Life

The school is designed to equip students to live a consistent Christian lifestyle and to grow in maturity and wisdom. Students are encouraged to be naturally supernatural by bringing heaven to earth in thought, heart and wherever they go. Therefore JSOM, by design, does not have dorms. Instead we encourage students to live in the outreach neighborhoods and get jobs in the local area so that they can practice bringing Jesus to the market place as a part of their learning experience.

Though in-class or other activity hours vary throughout the week, the school is full-time, five-days a week - minimum. The class hours are learning opportunities with the instructors but they are just a small part of the learning experience. The other hours consist of learning through homework, from an author, or from the Holy Spirit as the students read the Word, attend services, serve on ministry teams, soaking & prayer times of personal devotion, living the supernatural lifestyle in an honorable way at work, and more. JSOM is not for the faint of heart or lazy, it is an extremely fast paced season of schooling and development, but the training is pivotal and strategic. We believe the intensity soon translates into “becoming”; things that are at first foreign and done out of duty gradually become second nature and students move from merely echoing a message to becoming a message. Our deepest desire is that each student transforms from knowing about God, to knowing God and be known by God.

The school culture is more adept to meeting God through intimacy and as you “do life.” One example of this is that the school has no general restriction on dating for our single people. Rather, we have chosen to teach our students how to have healthy relationships and live in purity. Of course, learning without a lot of external restrictions creates a need for a high level of discipleship, personal responsibility and accountability in the lives of our students. This is accomplished through various small group interactions and a covenant community which embraces honesty, transparency and confrontation.

Jubilee’s School is designed to be a ministry training center where our students identify their call, encounter their royal identity, learn the attributes of the Kingdom, develop an intimate relationship with their God, and walk in the authority and power of the King.

The students receive historic commentary and insight into the scriptures but they are also immersed in a revelatory culture where the Holy Spirit becomes the chief instructor and tour guide. He causes His Kingdom to come alive through the pages of the Bible and times of practicing His presence.

First Year Students at JSOM learn how to better read, understand, and “do” the Bible - how to hear His voice and touch His heart, prophesy, preach, pray, practice His presence, become more solid in their faith, cast out demons, witness, heal the sick, and much more.

Second year Interns go further in these practices, in leadership training and specific ministerial calls. Interns take on some of the leadership expressions for First Year Students. Interns are herewith better prepared for successful leadership in Marketplace ministry or Church ministry.

Third year Interns will be mentored on a one-to-one basis, alongside a leader in their calling field. Ordination or licensing may occur.
