First Year Student Program
The first year program at JSOM lays the foundation for a life of intimacy and experiencing the supernatural.
Courses for the first year students will cover three general areas. • Who God Is • Who we are • Relationship
Students are taught by local apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers (both spiritual and marketplace) - not by professors or theologians. This gives the teaching a kind of living perspective with five-fold distinctions. Apostolic leaders from around the United States are brought in as guest faculty to impart teaching and spiritual impartation and wisdom into each student.
Students will be prepared for one annual international mission’s trip to Peru, Israel or another country. The cost of the mission’s trip is in addition to the JSOM tuition.
The mission’s trip will be for duration of a minimum of 3 weeks, or up to 3 months. Students will have the opportunity to assist in some of the following areas:
• Pastoral Assistance • Evangelism • Deliverance • Gifts of the Spirit • Healing • Helps Ministry as needed • Orphanage • Feeding & caring for the poor • Media • Children/Youth Ministry • Miracles • Worship/Prayer/Teaching
More information regarding the missionary trips will be offered when determination of timeline, country, and duration is identified for each student.
READING: Reading on your own time is expected and is a large part of our curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to read about 30-60 minutes a day minimum. That’s on top of several chapters of the Word daily. Thankfully, it’s all amazing, transforming content.
