Nations Prayer

Anyone who has been in the Jubilee sanctuary notices right away the vast array of flags lining the perimeter. There are flags from every recognized independent political entity, as well as some specialized flags for certain territories or possessions. In our Family Room off the sanctuary, there are the flags of the states and territories comprising the United States of America.  The reason for this display of national and state flags is that, as a house of prayer, Jubilee Church is actively engaged in praying for the United States, as well as for all the nations of the world. This is a mandate the Lord has given us—to cry out to Him on behalf of the nations, and to stand in agreement with what He is doing in the earth today.  Each month we draw twenty nations and four U.S. states to feature in a month of concerted prayer. The flags of those nations/states are placed in holders in the front of the sanctuary for special recognition. Then, during our Sunday morning services people from the congregation take the flags from their holders and line up with them across the front of the sanctuary. Fervent, faith-filled prayer is offered for these nations and states—that the Lord would reveal Himself to the people; that He would protect them; that He would bring about revival and a great harvest of souls; that the Kingdom of God would invade and touch every tribe, people, tongue and nation, and that His Will would be done on earth, as in Heaven.  September 2007 marks the beginning of the fifth year of this prayer for the nations. The people of Jubilee believe that we are partnering with the Lord in spreading His Word, in establishing His Kingdom, and in bringing in the harvest of the last days.
