Jubilee Affiliate Churches in Peru
There are three churches in the nation of Peru which are affiliated with Jubilee Church. These churches minister in both urban and rural areas with a strong emphasis on evangelism and discipleship. They make good use of the “cell” principle, with some of the cells having over one hundred people.
The church/cell leaders are very diligent to travel—often by foot—into the mountains and rural areas to touch the unreached people of an area. Once a prayer cell is established, the leaders will often travel many miles twice a week to minister to, and disciple the new converts. Even with very little in the way of resources, transportation, and finances, the cell groups and sponsoring churches are growing in numbers, and in dedicated, maturing believers.
Pastor David Polo pastors The House of the Living God in Surquillo (Lima). This urban church has many cell groups and is in the process of acquiring a new place for the congregation to meet for Sunday celebrations and weekly Bible studies.
Jubileo in Chosica is led by Pastor German and Elsa Luis, along with son Arturo and Maria Luis. This vibrant congregation just completed a new church building to house its growing numbers.
Jesus is the Way in Chicama is shepherded by Pastor Robin and Marita Irribarren. In addition to reaching inhabitants of their seaside community, Jesus is the Way has cell groups reaching into the inland farming communities.
