Nyeland Acres

In August 2009, in collaboration with the Oxnard Police Dept. Clergy Council we began a work in Nyeland Acres. A small community in Ventura County that is approximately one square mile . There are three to four thousand people in this small area, in the mix are about 1000 Mixteco people from Mexico whose language has never been written. The others are mostly Hispanic with other peoples mixed in. A lovely bouquet of God's creation. We are there to strengthen and affirm there cultures and to share the love of Christ. We are building loving relationships. We thank the Oxnard Police Dept. Clergy Council, Pastor Edward Mohorko and Supervisor Zaragoza and the El Rio School Dist.for enableing us to occupy the building at the NYELAND ACRE COMMUNITY CENTER. Without their support we would not be able to go forward.
