Pray for Mercy and Truth.
Next Tuesday, Americans go to the polls, in some states they have been going for weeks. For a year I have been praying, “Father, may your kingdom come, and your will be done in the election in the United States, in the Federal, State, County, and City elections, in Jesus Name.”
I love America and am confident that the Father will send His mercy and truth throughout our land. I want an awakening in my heart and for Christ to rise and give life to our land. I am asking the Lord to hear our prayers, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
A few months ago, I felt that I heard, “There will be no winner in this election.” I immediately thought of the two prostitutes who both having born babies, and one died. The mother of the dead baby switched babies with the living one and declared that the child was hers. This matter came before King Solomon who, having heard both mother’s claims that the living baby was theirs, asked for a sword and commanded that the living baby be cut in two, with a half of the child be given to each mother.
The mother of the living baby said, “No, give the baby to the other mother.” Solomon then ordered that the mother who cried out for the baby to be given to the other mother, was the actual mother. All of Israel marveled at his wisdom.
The wisdom of Solomon was that he discerned between love and selfishness.
I have hope in my heart that the Father will bring us into a better place of love and not selfishness in Jesus Christ. May mercy go before Him and His truth be made known. May selfishness fail and love win.
Today, let us pray, let us vote, and then pray again.
