Every word of the Bible is living and will bring life to us even when we do not fully comprehend what we are reading. The Bible is our daily bread. To have a healthy spirit we have to have a well-balanced meal, and not just snack on familiar, topical, or even favorite portions.

The 2-tier approach:

Our year-long journey will take us through the New Testament three times and the Old Testament once. The pace works out to be around five chapters a day, out of five sections in the Bible. The New Testament readings are referred to as Tier One: Gospels/Acts and Epistles/Revelation. The Old Testament readings are referred to as Tier Two: History, Poetry, and Prophets.

Jesus is the fulfillment of all the Bible, so immerse yourself in the New Testament passages daily and if you have the time, then go for the Old Testament passages.

Even though it’s broken up into 66 books, The Bible really is just ONE BOOK. By reading through both the New and Old Testaments simultaneously, we will grasp a deeper understanding of the heart of the Father and we are more likely to begin to SEE Jesus in every part of the Word. The Author, Himself longs to encounter you on every page.

May this year-long journey through God’s Word led to new insights, a closer relationship with the Father, and a deeper love for Jesus. Enjoy the journey!

Jesus Encounter Groups

Coming 2025

Jesus Encounter Groups offer a transformative and supportive environment for spiritual growth and deepening one’s relationship with Jesus Christ. These groups meet weekly, both in person and online, and are designed for individuals following the “That I May Know Him” Scripture reading plan. Each meeting focuses on reflecting on the past week’s scripture readings, engaging in discussions, and exploring how these biblical passages come alive in daily life.

The essence of these groups is not merely academic study but an opportunity to encounter Jesus personally. As participants share their reflections, insights, and testimonies, they experience the transformative power of God’s word. This communal interaction fosters a sense of fellowship, mutual support, and prayer, allowing individuals to strengthen their faith in a community of like-minded believers.

By joining a Jesus Encounter Group, you not only learn more about Scripture but also encounter the living presence of Jesus. The Bible becomes a tool for experiencing freedom, growth, and a deeper relationship with God. Whether meeting in person or online, the shared experiences within the group allow for greater revelations of God’s love, grace, and salvation.

The promise in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them,” underscores the core of the Jesus Encounter Groups. In these gatherings, Jesus’ Spirit is present, and participants have the unique opportunity to fellowship with Him, each other, and the Father, strengthening their collective faith journey. Joining a Jesus Encounter Group is about more than just Bible study; it’s about experiencing God together in a way that transforms hearts and lives.
