The Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). This powerful, living Word impacts the very core of who we are. When we yield to it, the Word reveals our thoughts and intentions by showing us Jesus—the Living Word.
2 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” What is this veil? It’s the one that lies over our hearts, blinds our minds, and keeps us stuck in unbelief.
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).
Our transformation begins when we turn to the Lord. The veil is lifted, and we are no longer blind. We can see Jesus in the scriptures and right in the middle of our tests, trials, temptations, and fears. The Father desires to change us into the image of His Son, Jesus, moving us from one stage of glory to the next.
It all starts by turning to the Lord.
