Kingdom of God in the Epistles

For forty days after the resurrection, Jesus appeared to His apostles presenting Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs being seen by them during the forty days as He spoke to them of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Having opened their understanding to the scriptures, the apostles were being schooled in the resurrection and the kingdom of God. Before Jesus ascended, He promised that they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive power to be witnesses to Jesus’ resurrection soon.

Ten days later Pentecost came.

Forty days of the kingdom of God seen and heard in the Epistles.  I chose Peter and John’s Epistles to start, since they were there with Jesus. We move next into Galatians, Colossians, and Romans. Then we circle back to Peter, John and Ephesians. In all forty-eight chapters.

Each Wednesday service, we will review our journey with Jesus in the epistles over the last seven days, and how our hearts burned and prepare for the week ahead.
