Scriptures into PENTECOST
In selecting these daily readings, I began with Acts 1 and the two Psalms referenced in Peter’s exhortation to choose a replacement for Judas. After this we will read Acts 2 for ten days. Along with Acts 2, we will read Moses’ three experiences in the glory of God.
In Judaism, Shavuot/Pentecost celebrates the giving of the law. The following day read in 2 Corinthians the covenant of the Spirit. It is no accident that the church was born with the coming of the Holy Spirit, and Israel became a nation with the giving of the law. In the following day, I have us in Leviticus to see all seven feasts.
June 1st, we will begin with Joel and the Psalms that are referenced during Peter’s proclamation of the resurrection of Christ, addressed on Pentecost. I also selected four glory visions recorded in the bible ending with Ezekiel’s vision that is read on Shavuot/Pentecost.
I hope you enjoy your encounters with the Lord, as we read together His holy scriptures aloud.
