A Jesus Encounter

Whenever we open the scriptures, we see Jesus.

A Jesus Encounter is when, in the Scriptures and Holy Spirit, we see Jesus. Our glorified Lord is so beyond what we can imagine that it takes the Bible and the Holy Spirit to encounter Him. After the resurrection, Jesus could not be seen at first glance but used the scriptures to open eyes and hearts. The two on the road to Emmaus, walked side by side with the Risen Lord as He opened the Scriptures beginning at Moses and all the Prophets. There, Jesus expounded to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning Himself. (Luke 24:27)

Every Bible Reading and Prayer time is to encounter Jesus. When we see Jesus, we can turn to Him and be healed. When we see Jesus, we become like Him, for we see Him as He is. When we hear His voice, our hearts will burn, and our eyes will be opened, He will know us, and we can follow Him.

We are beginning an adventure together, this New Year, as a people in the Scriptures to See Jesus! We want to set up many weekly “Jesus Encounter Groups”, in every city, country, and in various venues. All reading through “That I May Know Him”. Our Bible in a Year Guide to Encounter with Jesus. We will gather weekly to share what we have seen of Jesus in our readings, ask questions, to hear the Lord in our midst, and experience Jesus in the miraculous.

Here are five things you can do starting today.

Begin reading our Bible Guide and the Bible daily, two Chapters in the New Testament, and three chapters in the Old Testament. You can begin with only the New Testament.
