When the Son of man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?
Faith is found in prayer, or we might say unbelief neglects prayer as essential. Why would we neglect prayer? It’s because of difficulties in getting an answer. We see the delay as denial, after all, if I am praying shouldn’t God come and answer?
Prayer is practicing faith in God. Continual daily and weekly prayer meetings are perfecting faith in God. Without faith, a man cannot please God, nor will He believe God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God knows where we are and what we need. We determine that I will not bother Him with such burdens. No, God knows we need Him and we need to seek Him to find Him. Prayer is the path to gain His audience.
Jesus shared the parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8) to illustrate we need to always pray and not lose heart. He finished the parable with a question, “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on earth?” Luke 18:8
Our measure of faith is in prayer, when Jesus comes may He find us watching.
