Time to arise and walk through the land of promise.

Pentecost has come with the glory of the Lord and a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit here. We have celebrated Memorial Day in honor of those who have given their lives in service to our country and those who have given their lives for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

Now it’s time to occupy.

Please let me share what I saw last Wednesday in our prayer through the church. For ten weeks we have prayed through the entire church building from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm during our Wednesday Day of Prayer from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. This watch has been to sanctify, reconcile, dedicate, and fill the house of God with His holiness and glory. But now, as we approached Pentecost, I felt we had accomplished what the Lord asked.

Then on Wednesday, during our last prayer through the building, the Lord said, “I want you to continue praying through My church building and occupy what I have given you.” He went on to say, “Invite everyone to come and pray for I have much to give and much for you to possess of Myself in My house.”

I immediately thought of Abram, when Lot had separated from him having chosen the world, how the Lord then said to Abram, “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” Genesis 13:14-17

What we see we must walk through.

A promise made is an inheritance given.

Many years later, while Israel prepared to go and possess their promised land given as an inheritance, the Lord again made a promise, through Moses, to Israel. I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite from before you. I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land. Exodus 23:28-30

What has the Lord promised you? During the last ten weeks, we have reconciled our hearts, our homes, and the house of God. God never forgets the promises that He makes to His church, His families, and His sons and daughters. Now it’s time to occupy our promises through walking and praising God. Walk all about the land of your inheritance and begin to possess what the Lord has given you in praise and thanksgiving. Glorify God and become fully persuaded that He is able to perform what He has promised.

The Lord has called us to “Love Feasts Wednesdays”, beginning June 7th. We will have a meal together from 5 pm to 6 pm, and then ministry in the Sanctuary for all to give and receive. We will have ministry for the entire family.
