There is so much more blessing available to us in Jesus.
God has sent Jesus to bless us. In His resurrection, we have been given everything in His New Life. Since the Lord showed me this scripture, I have been pressing into His blessing. The first thing we do is receive the promise and make it our prayer.
To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.” Acts 3:26
In every blessing that the Lord sends, there will be a “turning away” from our iniquities. Iniquities are any form of wickedness, depravity, hurtfulness, and toil that brings us into a beggarly place of slavery instead of sonship. It seeks to dominate our thoughts, feelings, and our life on earth, but in turning from it to Jesus, we are healed.
The blessing is in Jesus and never changes., It only becomes more accessible as we turn away and turn to Jesus.
Everything in life is in Jesus and it is found in Him. Every time I see Jesus, I am freed from whatever I have been captured by.
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter who brings us into the blessing. I am praying daily to be filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing. It is impossible to live the life of blessing without Holy Spirit’s power. It is impossible to be a Christian in overcoming victory without the Holy Spirit. The new covenant is the Holy Spirit.
This prayer, and pressing into the Lord’s promise of blessing, is ours to receive. Jesus is the provision of the blessing, the authority to bring us out of bondage of any kind into blessing. The Holy Spirit is the power to do it.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…Acts 1:8a
Now that the resurrection has come, let us go on to receive the blessing. This is revival!
