“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11
Revelation 12:11 is the element of the overcoming life. When I think of a second advent, I think of a maturing of the church to hold the image that we are being conformed to, according to Romans 8. Which is the image of Jesus, the first born among many brethren. This is not the Jesus that was born in the manger, Who is the only begotten Son of God. This was exclusive, therefore He could only do for us, what only He could do.
But, now having done so, bringing many sons into glory. We are a part of an overcoming bride. Yet, we were born as He was, helpless, dependent, and needy. The bible talks of the whole idea of a maturing of the church. If we have tasted that the Lord is good, then we are to desire the sincere milk of the word, and thereby, grow.
Throughout the scriptures, we see that there are two basic elements in this overcoming journey.
This is
1. Our relationship to God in His Spirit and
2. Our relationship to God with His word
If we allow, both the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to flow, we are able to grow up and continue growing up.
In the battle that we are in, there are three elements:
- The Blood of the Lamb
Which is:
- Our atonement:
- Our right to enter,
- Our reconciliation,
- Our redemption,
- Our inheritance,
- Our purchased price of the possession,
- it is our answer.
- The Word of God
That is:
- Revealed to us in its entirety
- The logos
- The part of us that is being translated and renewed and transformed into the image of God,
- So that like in Hebrews 4, we can actually enter into rest because the word of God is doing its work and
- The Word of Our Testimony,
That is the logos, the logos of our testimony
- Our future, because what God speaks to us is our future
- It is also established, because we were in Christ before the foundation of the world
He was slain before the foundation of the world. This whole work of God, that is unfolding in time, was completed. My mind has a hard time grasping this, but my spirit somehow knows that it is true. This is not a happenstance. This is not a dice-throw for God. He absolutely is in charge! Thank God!
Then in the ‘Love not their life to the death’, the word ‘life’ is the word psuche which is my soul. This is the one Jesus addresses with His disciples on the earth. He says that they’re going to have to not love their psuche unto death. Their psuche is going to go to the cross and they’re going to have to deny their psuche, which is our soul-life.
The first Adam, who was in the garden, and that we, on earth, have all been born under, was a living soul. The second Adam, in 1Corninthians 15, has been born again, or is a life-giving Spirit.
So, in the simplest of terms, our maturing is moving from a soul-based life to a Spirit-led life. And that’s a difficult thing, because the soul is where we really live.
I have been meditating on this and praying this. I try to find my hope, because this is how I overcome. I pray: “Your blood is my answer, Your word is my future and my life is in Your hands.” It has become a confession that allows me to simply say what I’m saying, and have life to it, for me.
Your blood is my answer. Every charge, every situation, every question—Your blood is my answer. Your word is my future. This entire wonderful book, not just the specific words You’ve spoken, which are very important, but the entirety of the scripture, is my future and my life. I entrust them into Your hands. Even like Jesus had to, when He was on the cross and wondering what in the world…how did He get here…And finally, speaking His last words, “Father, into Your hands I commit my Spirit,” because He had to yield and trust.
What I’m going to show you in a moment is what I believe to be the moment of time the church is in right now.
Out of it, there’s a massive – this shows the same battle in at least three different perspectives that we are all engaged in whether we want to be or not. What is required, because God – Jesus, the Word became flesh, here is a simple truth, because I think if you let this be the way you process what I teach you, you’ll say, “Oh, ok, this is really benefitting me.”
Here is a simple truth. You have to allow God’s word to penetrate your soul to the point that you hear it, you feel it, you see it, and you can even imagine it. You have to be touched by the word, and experience it, if you are to
come into a new place. You have to take words that you are hearing, and feel them, if you’re going to take on new feelings.
The same is true, that if you dislodge, or step out of old experiences and old feelings, you have to find words to explain it. Because often, your feelings are the chaos that you have to find a word to describe for you to dislodge from that feeling. The feeling may have come years ago, and the word that is being brought to you is an abstract thought, until you experience it.
So, you have to experience:
- The new for it to become yours and
- To articulate the old to release it.
This is what many of us are currently in, and being asked to walk through.
Let’s look at Revelation 12, in three parts.
Verses 1-6 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 And
another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon
stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
I’m not going to try to teach a linear thought on Revelation. I’d like to introduce that the images that John was seeing, because all of this, were coming through visions and an encounter as he described them. They have the same ability to re-communicate, if we allow the image to start touching us. So we don’t try to figure it out with the brain. Let’s let it touch our heart.
When he’s called up into heaven, He said, “I must show you things to come”. For me, this woman is the church, birthing through intercession, through travail, and through the way we ascend into heaven which is through prayer. She is carrying a child, ready to give birth, and in distress. In this labor it even says she is in pain. Then, in her inability for herself, comes the dragon – it’s Satan.
The dragon means fascination, the fascinating one. He is one of the attributes (we’ll see all four attributes of Satan in a few moments). This is his hierarchy, which none of us can really handle. It is that he understands
things of the spirit that none of us have even encountered. And, he can fascinate. He can allure. He can open doors and cause things to look beautiful that aren’t. He can cause us to desire things that would bring death.
He can make trees, that we shouldn’t touch, something we want. He’s the devil. He’s the dragon.
Now the dragon comes, and is right there in front of the woman as she’s about to give birth. So the church is ready to birth which is a male child. We don’t know the time. But the word there is Greek (uihos) which means a matured son, or someone who’s not just born. You know that when your children are born of your womb, out of your loins, they are your child when they were born. But they don’t step into their place until they mature.
Galatians 4 talks about this. It says that we can be under the tutorage of the law until we come into faith. Romans tells us that we are heirs of God, but we can become joint heirs if we suffer with Christ, and when that maturity of the church comes alive then the earth begins to be released.
There’s a growth process. This woman is about to give birth and what she is going to give birth to is a mature son. This son is something that the devil isn’t able to devour, because he’s been devouring too much of everything.
But no worries, God is in charge. He doesn’t need us to do anything great. He did it all. We are just a part of allowing Him to be expressed and discovered and to become central and dwell in our hearts by faith. He’s just looking for more room. And, the only way He can get more room is for you and I to fail and throw out some of the stuff we trusted in.
We are in a journey process. Now, he is there to devour. She gives birth and this child, this mature son is caught up to God and His throne. Again, I believe, for me, I can be the woman in travail in Christ and I can be the matured son being born in Christ. We have a lot of freedom.
I never studied the book of Revelation from anybody else’s prospective. I have had liberty to discover it in the spirit. As long as it doesn’t contradict scripture, I’m ok.
Of course, there are always multiplicities. I know that the woman could be Israel, and that’s all good too. But, for me, for this moment, this woman is the church in travail. The son is the church coming into maturity. And, coming into this place, from being caught up into heaven to reign and rule the earth.
Now, same story from a different perspective. We are going to see what is happening in the heavenly realm.
Continuing in Revelation 12:7-10:
7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[a] in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
There are three heavens. Paul establishes this in 2 Corinthians 12:2
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven.
He said that he knew a man and he began to talk about visions and dreams. He said, I knew a man who went to the third heaven.
happens, where principalities and powers and rulers of spiritual wickedness in heavenly places sit, where the prince of Persia, a spirit, was overseeing the nation of Persia, of people. It’s where the battle is. It’s where you and I are being called to hold a place until the accuser has no place. And this is where it’s tricky. My soul is life the second heaven. It’s where the war is. Right? Am I telling you anything you don’t know? The war is in your soul. The war is in your mind. The war is in your head. heaven. That can be so big, think of it in a simplest picture. We are the body growing up into Him who is the head. The head is seated next to the heavenly Father, we are on the planet earth.
You can see it another way as we are spirit, soul and body. My spirit is in Christ. Christ in me. I am seated with Christ in the heavenly places. My body is attached to the earth. Because of the earth I can live on the planet. It is where I connect and I receive all my signals. My body learns and lives and is dependent on it.
- The third heaven is God’s throne room.
- The second heaven is the realm where all spiritual traffic and commerce
- The first heaven is the natural, earth, heavens, the stars, material
First, we see Michael and his angels, they are now in pressure.
Warfare is to remove someone from some place so that you can occupy that place.
The Dragon
Satan, from the garden, after the fall of Adam, and then usurping it since the resurrection of Jesus, is occupying much of the second heaven. He is holding his place. We say, “How can he hold his place if Jesus did everything?” Well, how can ISIS be occupying part of Iraq and Syria? Didn’t we win the war in Iraq? You see things can be done because there is power through illegal action. It doesn’t mean what has been concluded diplomatically or through right and wrong. The devil is a terrorist, right? Has he ever asked you permission to come and ravage your life? He intimidates. He pressurizes.
Here it is. It says, Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
In the book Saved Your Seat, we came up with the title, ‘Saved Your Seat’ because of Jesus’ promise in John 14 I go to prepare a place for you. The word ‘place’ is a seat. It is a seat, a place that is ours because of occupation.
Because we occupy this place, it is our place.
So Jesus said, “I’m going to prepare a place but you’ll need to occupy that place for it to be yours. If I don’t occupy that place, you might occupy that place, or the devil might occupy that place”. Isn’t that what Jesus said? “I cast out devils, if you don’t fill it back up, they will come back seven times worse.”
It is about an occupation. Isn’t that a part of our struggles in Iraq? We didn’t leave an occupation force. We have 30,000 troops in Japan. Why? Because after World War II, we thought that we ought to keep troops in Japan so they wouldn’t rise up again. We have 30,000 troops in Korea and Germany. But we didn’t do that in Iraq. So, it’s seven times worse. It’s just the natural showing the spiritual.
The point is, here we are and we have been given a place in Jesus and we must occupy it for it to be ours. Jesus is determined that we occupy it because He is fulfilling something that He is bringing a completion.
There is a war going on. This is the way I say it simply: God comes and He talks to us. He meets us. He encounters us. We feel His presence. And out of that experience, He comes to us and He says, “Stand here.” “Sure, we will stand right here.” He says, “I want you to hold this.” “What is it?” He says, “This is a promise of what I’m doing.” “Okay, no problem.” He says, “Now wait here till I come back.” And I’m just as naïve as a guy off a hay truck and I say, “Ok, I’ve got a place and a promise.” Then, in comes the dragon and the serpent and the slanderer and the accuser and he says, “What are you doing here?” I say, ”Well God told me to hold the place.” The devil says, “Well how do you know He told you to hold that place.” I say, “Well that’s a good question.” The devil says, “What’s that in your hand?” “It is a promise, it’s something wonderful.” The devil continues, “Well what makes you think He’ll still do it?” I answer, “Because He said He would.” He responds, “Well don’t you realize you probably missed the moment. I think He promised this last year and He didn’t do it.” I say, “Oh wow, ok.” He then says, “Furthermore, this is my place. You don’t get to stand her anymore. Get out of my place. And hand me that promise.” And I don’t know, I would say at least 10,000 times in 38 years I have struggled, handed over the promise and left my place. Because I didn’t know.
In this place, I am meeting somebody who was my lord, who is now no longer my lord, but he is still my adversary and intent on keeping me from my place. So, when this starts happening, this war that is coming through the church, we know that there is something that Jesus did that is to be completed that is not dependant upon us.
It is the Blood of the Lamb that gives me my place and not how I did yesterday. It is His blood that starts to answer the accuser.
Look at the description of our enemy. And the great dragon was cast out because there’s no place for him anymore. He gets displaced which is how all warfare takes place. It’s a displacement. Right? Isn’t that what happened with ISIS? It came raging into the summer offensive. The Iraqi’s were not prepared for that aggressive of an enemy. They left their weapons and ran. There was no place for them. They didn’t occupy their place, and somebody else took that place.
This is what is happening in my mind, happening in my emotions. I have a great day at church on Sunday…but then on Monday I’m being tormented. Why? What did I do wrong? It keeps us totally off our balance. Our foe is superb. We will never match his ability to outwit us, to out seduce us, or to out accuse us. He is superb. That’s why the Lord has us simply say, “MY BLOOD.” “Just say My blood. Answer anything, any charge any time, any
situation. Just get used to saying, My blood. Don’t answer him anything more…just say My blood.”
So, here he is, the great dragon, of which we already spoke. It is a splendid fascination. We see him in many other places in the earth today and he can affect us individually.
THE SERPENT
The next is the serpent which is the deceiver. He is cunning. “Did God really say? Did He really infer that you would really die, or is it kind of like a maybe feel death so that you could have relationship to become like God instead?” He can talk and you become confused. He is the devil which is diablos which is the slanderer. He will tell of you that you are this when you are not that. He has no problem telling you that you are a whore if you’re not; or you’re an adulterer; or you’re a liar; or you’re a thief. He spews words out of his mouth to destroy you.
He is the accuser which is the ultimate attorney pursuing incrimination at any cost. He doesn’t care what he does to do it He brings us under judgment and brings us into pain in the path of judgment. He is fierce.
And now all of sudden, there is no place for him because something has taken hold.
First, what happens when he doesn’t have a place? When he doesn’t have a place in the second heaven, where the war is raging, this is why things are so intense over so many of our lives. This is why we’ve got to let the Word begin to frame what we feel and what we think. We must find a way to express to God what we feel and think, in order to dislodge our current feelings and receive His eternal feelings. This is basically how we displace hell from our lives.
So here we are, and it says, NOW. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now and that means at this moment when the dragon is removed from his usurping of authority. Now is come salvation, and strength (power –
dumamis), and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ.
We may say, “There has got to be more than what we are experiencing because we are not living like we read in the book of Acts. There’s got to be more.” But the more isn’t coming because God is saying, “You know unless you guys get a little more cleaned up, a little more holy, a little more mature or a little less carnal, I’m not coming.” No! It is because the devil is lying to you. It’s the devil that is creating a false set of rules, regulations, obligations, commitments, and accusations. He has us all screwed up. Anybody want to admit he can screw you up? We feel it, so we might as well say it. He’ll whack our brains. We won’t even know if we are saved. And he’ll have us run hard on religion. And we just become the meanest sucker in the world. The devil tells us, “Just forget it all, it’s never going to work. It doesn’t matter what you do.” We, then, just float on the earth, run around and have no sense of authority.
When he is removed, all of a sudden, here is the Kingdom of God! It’s already established and heaven has been cleaned up—the second heaven. We are on our way to completion.
The advent we are entering into is the maturing of the bride in her place.
Now, how did all this happen?
- How did Michael get up and get going?
- Does he have to sit there and wait until God says, “You can go now Michael.”
- How does this woman finally give birth?
- How did this child all of a sudden get swept up?
It was the growing up of the church—all of us.
- Everyone growing up individually into Him who is the head.
- Everyone giving away what they carry and maturing and valuing and loving.
When we look at someone that we don’t like, we must say, “It doesn’t matter if we don’t like them, the blood of the Lamb made them my brother or my sister and I welcome them into the kingdom. Furthermore, I need what’s in them. Give it to me. The blood, the blood, the blood.”
Seriously, take a moment in your prayer time this week and assess, emote, feel, describe, and ask:
Where am I coming from, when I are coming to Jesus?
If you’re not coming from the blood, you are not coming in.
I don’t care who we are or how good we have been, or how long we have been good. We are a filthy rag of righteousness and we will always be in our self.
But thanks be to God: I am not coming in myself and keys.
Father.
- I’m coming in the blood, through the veil of His flesh.
- I pass through His death.
- I take time to value and appreciate and claim His victory through death.
- I pass through His burial.
- He was awakened in Hell through His resurrection in the new birth Here, He then stripped hell of its authority and principalities and powers
- I pass into His Ascension where He rose up and was seated at the Father.
- I pass into His prayer and intercession
- By the time I’ve walked through that veil, there I am in the Holy of Holies before my living
Now, the problem is, if we use geographical terms, I start here in the earth and I go into prayer and I want to sit up there and rest in heavenly places with Christ in the third heaven where Christ is seated in heavenly places. But, I
have to pass through this land mine. And the devil is talking to me on the way up, “What are you doing here again? Who gave you that kind of authority? What do you think? Do you really think God would allow your life to be such a wreck if you were serving Him? Do you really think He would accept you anymore? Do you even think He would welcome you after what you did yesterday? You go back down there and fix it up, boy!”
He puts this pressure on. He intimidates and threatens. “I’ll lop your head off, if you don’t do what I say.” We live cowardly. Trust me… I’ve spent most of my adult Christian life avoiding the devil because I don’t want to face him.
I faced him enough. He triggers my internal response mechanisms and he drags me back into my place.
Over the last few years, this has not been my choice. It has become the “whatever”. Who cares? If I lose my life, I already lost it. “Your blood is my answer, Your blood is my answer. Your blood.” I’m coming through Father. I
might hate going through that neck of this neighborhood, but I am coming through. Whatever emotions or whatever feelings I have, He and I can talk about them once I’m up there. Right now, they’re not disqualifying me from
coming. This is a simple discipline. But we MUST do it or we will stop praying. If we stop praying, we stop ascending. We want to get to the matured side in the heavenly places. Learn to pray! And we learn to pray from the completion—not to get to the place.
We must say, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. By the blood of the Lamb, I’m coming. My life is a mess! But He did the rest!” We must do it! Make yourself do it. Come on! Do it! If it was easy, everybody would be mature. Seriously.
Once there, you are honest and you express feelings, please! Please! God knows we stink. He needs to shower us now. He wants to refresh us and wash us with the water of the word. He wants to get the blood reapplied to our conscience so we are free. He knows there is stuff. But none of our stuff stops us from accessing and enjoying and rejoicing in His presence!
We don’t get fixed, then come in His presence. We come in His presence and we get a shower. We get a sprinkling and we awaken our testimony again. And you say, “Daddy, I still believe that what You said, You can do and I know that I can’t help You. You are not going to get any help from me. Because I have learned in my learning journey is that my effort to accomplish what You say will result in misery for me and many people and I am tired of being miserable, so I’m not working anymore to accomplish what You said. I’m just going to spend time telling You what You said is completed, and wonderful, and able.”
What are we doing by doing this serpent?
- We are taking dominion away from the accuser and the slanderer and the fascinator dragon and the deceiving
- We are dismantling his right to a conversation by engaging our entire mind conversation back to God. The whole thing, the whole thing.
- Every thought comes into obedience.
This is not denial…We aren’t saying,” I didn’t think that. I don’t really feel those feelings. I didn’t feel that. No, that’s a bad feeling, so I didn’t feel that. That’s a wrong thought so I’m not thinking that.”
We have to let the word of God be a sharp, two-edged sword piercing and dividing the soul and spirit, and the joints and marrow. We have to allow it go into the very heart of our spirit saying, “Here beloved, righteous Steve, here is your real motive….” And, my response is total shock! “Dear God. I’m so glad You showed that to me and not everybody else.” The only person that always sees it is my wife. But when we are totally shocked and dismayed at what He shows us, what does it mean? It means we’re getting ready to have some surgery, getting ready for some liberation, getting ready for some freedom, getting ready for some identification of some situation that has been plaguing
us. Here, we learn language—names, and the ability to describe.
- Expose yourself to God with words and He’ll expose Himself to you with His word.
- Hide yourself from God without words and He’ll hide Himself from you without words.
It is a give and take, a go and flow, enjoyment. It’s a dance. It’s the voice. It’s a sound. The whole world moves through sound.
Even scientists are discovering that everything is sound driven. There are times in life when sound will overtake us—slander, accusation, and slander.
Let’s look at what happens. He says in Revelation 12:17
17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
When they had matured, so that our only answer was the blood, and our future was His word, and they were submitting,
I am so grateful for the word. It teaches us how to walk on the fiery stones of God’s presence. It is very dangerous. You will be taken down, if you do not have a life in the Word. This is because, when Jesus was baptized in the Holy Spirit and the heavens opened, and the dove came down and the Father’s booming, appreciative, affirming voice said, “This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased.” This wonderful Holy Spirit said, “Jesus, I want to take You somewhere. Jesus said, “Sure, where are We going?” Holy Spirit said, “Oh…Just up on a mountain for a few days. You know that experience You just had? You better not try to use it. Just get small—No
eating, just letting go. Then the devil is going to come and he is going to challenge Your identity. “Are You really the Son of God? If You are the Son of God, command those rocks over there, to become loaves of bread.
You have that kind of authority.” He hits us with “if” “prove it”
Do you know that any time, any place, for any reason, that your conversation or your actions go to “prove who you are in Jesus”, you have already lost the battle? You are already defeated. One in authority doesn’t have to prove anything. You KNOW it is already true.
Jesus simply said, “IT IS WRITTEN, you shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The voice, the word of God is more valuable than the flesh provision, so I will not do that.”
This is how He wins! IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN, IT IS WRITTEN. By the third time, the Devil is saying, “It is written”. He knows the bible too.
This place, which we are invited into, to walk in the holy presence of God—God says, that we still have a job. He wants the second heaven cleared.
I wants His land, I wants His inheritance, I want my place, I want my freedom. Translate this to you and me. I want your soul freed. I want your mind released. I want your emotions to come out of the tightness it’s in. I want you
free! I want you to be a little kid again so you can be laughing and joyful. I want you to abandon yourself and pursue Me. I want you to trust Me for anything and everything! I want that when someone says, “I believe for millionaires,
that you agree and say, ‘yeah, me too’” Childlike freedom!
That’s what is said, “I’m going to nail You to a cross and let the devil taunt you.” This doesn’t sound like freedom to us. We see freedom as our problems getting cleared out. We want the “green zone”. But, we can only have the green zone be so big. We have to become the green zone. How do we become the green zone?
When the devil says, “I know you”. You answer, “Yeah, I know me too—the Blood. Blood. Blood.
When he says, that nothing is happening, you answer, Word.
When he says, yeah but if you keep going at this rate, there will be nothing left of you, all you say is “My life is in His hands—Whatever”.
- The Blood, The Word, Whatever
- The Blood, The Word, Whatever
This is the only disengagement that hell knows. Hell doesn’t care how holy you are. We are not holy—seriously. I’m sorry but you are not holy. There is only One who is holy. There is only One who is good too. We are not good either. We are evil and we know how to give good gifts. If we are in Christ and His goodness is abiding in us, we enjoy it. But, if we step outside of fellowship with Christ, we are just as rotten as before we first got saved. And, we are as stupid as a dog because we go right back to what we vomited up and think this is freedom.
We are not good…but we are eternally saved and forever accepted, and held before God in love. We are predestined to conformity into His image, and called and justified and glorified. We have EVERYTHING! And, the devil knows it, so he is tailing us. He wakes up with us and tells us, “What a lousy day this is”—and we agree with him. He tells us we don’t have a future and we feel the depression coming. He says, “You will never get out of where we are”. And we start being mad at everyone—but we become aware that “God is listening” and we religiously say, “I’m happy today, Father. This is the day that You have made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it.
If anyone really needs to hear how we are REALLY doing, is our Father, inside of what He really did in His Son. How we are doing, does not affect how His Son did. Nor, does it affect what His Son did for us to be ours. We are just in a war…
Stand now, before your Father.
Heavenly Father, I’m coming to You by your blood, Jesus. That is my confidence. My utter boldness. I pass through Your veil of Your flesh, Jesus. You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, and I am passing through You—Your death, You were delivered up because of my offenses. You became sin for my righteousness. You are the just. I am the unjust, You suffered for me. You were delivered up for me. My Father placed on You, the iniquity of us all, and His wrath and judgment and You died. You were ushered into hell, descended into captivity until You were born again. You were resurrected because I was justified. Because I AM justified! You are resurrected. If I had not been justified, You would not have been resurrected. You stood up in the bowels of hell, and You stripped him who had power over death, the devil—and You made him a non-issue.
You took the principalities and powers and made an open display of them. You triumphed over them. You rejoiced in the victory. You preached the gospel in hell and liberated captivity!
You then ascended on high and sat down at the right hand of the Father. You cleansed the very heavens with Your blood. You sent Holy Spirit to the earth and gave gifts to man. You stayed in Your place, inviting us to sit with You in Your place as You intercede for us. You are holding our future in Your Words. Our future is in Your Word.
So, I worship You. I worship You for what You did. Give me now audience to share how I am doing, to be truthful about my situation, my emotions. Give me language—my logos for my life, my thoughts, my emotions, so that I might present them to You, so that Your blood may cleanse and Your water may wash, that I may stand here in Your place… (Stand now, in His presence)
This is the place that the Lord prepared for us when He died on the cross. The place that He has given us through His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and intercession. This is the place that Satan is trying to take you from, through his accusation, his slander, his condemnation, his fascinations and his deceptions, as he tells us that we have to right to be here. He points to our natural life and our past. He points to what has happened to us and what
choices we have made. He says that because of these, those, them, that… we will never be able to be in God’s presence. Even if we fight to get here, the devil is here to fight us, and tell us we have no right.
But…We have a simple answer: The Blood of Jesus. It is Your blood, Jesus. It is the blood of Jesus that gives us this place.
His word is your future. Our life is not an afterthought or a mistake. We are not born prematurely or in the wrong season, time or to the wrong parents. We are not unwanted, We were planned in heaven. We are beautiful and perfect. In Christ, our life is grander in the future than it is in the present. The sufferings that we go through are not worthy to be compared to the Glory that is about to be revealed. The joy that will come to us after the weeping, fills
our mourning with laughter. From here, we can begin to see the future, the horizon and the beauty of God. From here, we can also begin to occupy what Jesus accomplished because we reassert His blood, His Word and His Spirit,
which carries us into martyrdom, into witnesses and gives us power to live.
So, I bless you right now, in this spot.
Heavenly Father, may it be that the Word of God, now quickens and comes alive in every one of us. We will hear again what You said over our life. Words will come alive. Light will begin to shine. The day will begin to dawn. Come Holy Spirit and bring brilliance of Your Word. Make it light.
Lord God, in this place, may the blood become the only answer, so that we would become annoying to the devil. This is because we would have nothing else to say, except…the Blood. May Your Spirit come and lift us and carry us. Whether He leads us to the mount of temptation or into the place of great multiplication. May You be glorified, Jesus. May You be glorified.
Now, lift up your hands and look into the face of Jesus and say, “Jesus, You did it all. Praise to You, Jesus. You are our victor and conqueror. You are our triumph. You are the Overcomer! You are LORD, SAVIOUR and KING! Praise You, Jesus! Praise You, Jesus! Praise You, Jesus! We praise no one else, no other thing but Jesus!
Lord, raise us up to the ascending ministry that You have called us into and lead us into this season to enjoy the generosity of this hour of Your Spirit. Let us yield to the brooding of the Spirit. Let us hold the place You gave us, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, and not loving our life to the death. In Jesus Name. Amen
