We have a destination set by our Lord—resurrection from the dead.

We are in the second of seven weeks to Pentecost. The Lord has led me to meditate on the Holy Spirit’s power that was given on Pentecost and to receive what I am seeing and hearing in the scriptures each day. Holy Spirit has been given, and the power to be witnesses to Jesus is ever available to us all.

Here are five promises we can receive and experience today.

  1. The Power of His ResurrectionEphesians 1:19-23
    • We are to know this power that was worked when the Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead, that is now to us who believe.
  2. The Power to be Jesus’ WitnessActs 1:4-8
    • Jesus promised power to be His witnesses upon the Holy Spirit coming upon us.
  3. Great Power to Give Witness to the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Acts 4:29-33
    • As intimidation increases so does power.
  4. Strengthened with Might, through His Spirit, in the Inner ManEphesians 3:14-21
    • The Father from the riches of His glory strengthens us with might through His Spirit in our inner man, so that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith. This is the expansive power of the indwelling Christ in the riches of glory.
  5. Strong in the Lord and the Power of His MightEphesians 6:10-20
    • We can resist the devil and see Him flee in seven ways. We put on the whole armor of God, in the power of His might, and pray with all prayers in the Spirit.

There are many more promises to experience today. Let’s claim these in our lives and in our loved ones, in our churches, cities and nations. Take the time to meditate, using our imagination (image maker of our hearts) and our mouths (as tongues of a ready writer) to see and hear these promises in this hour upon us. We will build ourselves up in our most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
