On Wednesday, April 16th, at our 6:00 pm service, we will open Portals of Encounters, of what our Lord walked through, in our Sanctuary. These will be places of identification with our Lord, where we can step into His events and participate with the Holy Spirit. We will come and identify with Jesus and bring our lives to Him in His places of testing.
We begin after worship with A Jericho March, led by our Shofar team and children, as we march around the strongholds in the way of our inheritance.
After the shout of victory, we will now take the path of Jesus, into His victory. There are many more places our Lord stood, encountered, and set in order than five. We have identified five for the sake of focus and time. We know stories; now we can experience Jesus ourselves in them.
- The Bethany – Anointing Jesus: Jesus sat at the table while Martha served them. This is when Mary came and anointed His feet with fragrant oil. The fragrance filled the house and pulled out indignation from everyone there. But Mary did it for Jesus.
Here we can pour out our worship, our hearts, our words, and everything upon Jesus as Mary did and come out of the conflict with men.
- Temple – Cleansing: Palm Sunday was more than a parade. It was the Lord coming to reclaim His Father’s House as He came and cleansed the Temple. Prayer, praise, and power were restored as the Lord overturned the tables.
Here, we can ask Jesus to come and cleanse our temple, the temple of the Holy Spirit, and to take possession of us again for His purpose.
- Upper Room – Communion: This established a New Covenant that Jesus made with us during betrayal and rivalry.
Here we can enter our inheritance, through His body and blood, and bring all our betrayal and strife to His feet.
- Upper Room – Foot Washing: This sets our order as His disciples, to wash one another’s feet. The greatest shall be the servant of all. Time to take this knowledge, do it, and be blessed.
Here we will wash one another’s feet. We will use tissues to wipe away the dust from our shoes for simplicity, and not water and towels. We will serve one another and take off the soil of the past season.
- Gethsemane – The Agony of Full Surrender: to the Father’s will and the cup given for Jesus to drink. In the Oil Press, Jesus gave Himself fully to the Father’s will.
Here, we can bring our struggles, agonies, and our soul’s troubles and share honestly where we are, and yet, surrender our will to His will being done. Note: Angels came to minister to Jesus, expect help from heaven.
All stations are voluntary. Wherever the Lord meets you, there is no obligation to go further. All stations will have an overseer, but the interaction is done with the Holy Spirit.
