We also are called living stones.
What are we being built up too?
What will we offer to God? What do we experience in coming to Jesus the chief cornerstone?
A Chosen generation
Meditate on 1 Peter 2:9-12
We now are described as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His own special people.
As Jesus is so now are we in the world.
What is the first thing we are to be doing? How does praise bring glory to God? What things are listed here that we should be praising God for?
After praisers we are called sojourners and pilgrims, what does that mean?
What are we to avoid?
How does our conduct affect our witness? Why do men speak against us? (John 15:18-16:4) how does our good works help others hear our message in the day of visitation? (1 Peter 3:13-17)
Higher to go lower. First our place in God then our place before man.
Why do we need to drink deeply and praise continually our Lord?
What will our experience be with those who are stumbling?
Take an inventory of your soul’s present state.
Is your soul abounding in His goodness?
Is your soul languishing in abusers?
Is it in a little of both?
Come up higher to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help from Jesus your high priest.
We have been chosen to live from heaven and love on earth.
