“That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:17-19
Jesus stands before us: Smiling, beckoning us to eagerly receive together the immensity of His love. As He dwells in our hearts by faith, we, through believing, are strengthened by the Spirit, who brings great might into our inner man from the glory of God. Here, in this rich and powerful place, faith comes alive and we find ourselves rooted and grounded in God’s vast love. His love then becomes our foundation and invitation to receive more and more of His love, as oceans without end, ever expanding.
To Comprehend With All the Saints
God’s love fills His Body and is truly more than any of us can comprehend alone. The word “comprehend” means to “eagerly receive”. May we eagerly receive His love! His love is such that it can only be fully received by giving it away, which delightfully only causes it to expand and grow in fullness and dimension: Width, length, depth, and height. . . a profound and mysterious four-dimensional love! The depth of His love is the mystery beyond natural measure, while the width, length, and height of His love also contain His unlimited love beyond measure. We can go farther, wider, and higher, and still, there is ALWAYS MORE! Glory.
To Know the Love of God
To “know” means “to experience” and is beyond any one experience or all the experiences of a lifetime. Everything in Christ is in His love. The more we experience His love for us, the more we are filled with His fullness. Then, the more we experience His love as we give it away to each other, we become increasingly filled with the fullness of God. So our capacity to be filled with God’s fullness can just continue to increase and grow, and our assurance of the Father’s ability and willingness does, too. We are expanding in His vast ocean of Love!
Soon, we are asking bigger prayers for more people to experience more of God. In turn, the Father is receiving greater glory in the Church through Jesus Christ for all generations, forever and forever!
Whoa, the amazing love of God! The oceans of the world cannot contain it, for God is Love.
