Our expectancy is in the Lord—We anticipate His help in all things.
The Bible gives two scenarios of the last days. One is of fear the other of faith. One is anticipating evil overtaking and the other is mercy. One causes death and the other life.
Jesus said, “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations and perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from the fear and expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:25, 26
Jesus also said, “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” Luke 21: 27, 28
Hearts will be failing from fear or heads being lifted up in anticipation of Christ’s redemption.
It’s time to lift up our heads, anticipating and expecting Jesus Christ to be revealed in every and all situations on the earth. He is sitting in heaven laughing at the attempt of man to overthrow His Father’s rule and His. He is seated at the right hand of God waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool.
Everything that is opposing Christ in our lives will bow its knees as He appears in our lives. Shifting from anticipating the darkness to anticipating the light shining in our hearts, moves us into hope’s expectancy. Jesus is the better hope! Jesus is the hope behind the veil that anchors our soul to heaven’s expectancy. Everything that is opposing Christ will bow the knee.
Jesus is Lord of all.
