As we approach Passover next Wednesday, we enter into the first two feasts: Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. We, as Christ’ body, have been grafted into these feasts as Christ is our Passover Lamb. “Behold! the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29

“For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore keep the feast not with old leaven nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth “.  1 Corinthians 5::8

This is not fanciful imagery, but truth. We are Christ’ body and now share His attributes. He is the head, and we are His body the fulness of Him, Who fills all in all. As Israel was commanded to remove the leaven from their homes, so are we to do the same with our hearts, homes, and God’s house.

We are taking the time to cleanse out the old leaven, and the leaven of malice and wickedness, so that we might participate in Christ, our Passover, with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. We all endeavor to serve Christ, walking in the Spirit and not fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. And even though our best intentions fail, all of us sin unintentionally and in ignorance. This is why we are taking these two weeks leading to Passover on April 5th, to purge out the old leaven out of our hearts, homes, and God’s house.

Receiving Communion at home, we are welcoming Christ into our hearts to commune with us and dine with us. We invite Christ into our homes to sanctify and cleanse our dwelling places. On Wednesday, March 29th, from noon to 2 pm, we will pray throughout the entire church, every doorway, every room, cleansing it anew with the blood of the Lamb.

On Wednesday evening, March 29th, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, we are transforming service into a Prayer Meeting. The Sanctuary will become Stations of Prayer covering all the ministries and groups in our church. I will bring our online family into prayer at each station in order for as many of us as possible to cleanse, and sanctify, in preparation for Passover.

Passover, Wednesday, April 5th 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm will be a special Passover Communion Service.

Easter, Sunday, April 9th 10:00 am is RESURRECTION!
