“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.’” (John 7:37)

Dear Beloved of the Lord,

Jesus stood up on the last day, the great day of the Feast of Tabernacles, with an invitation and a promise. If you’re thirsty, come and drink; if you believe in Jesus, out of your heart will flow rivers
of living water. As we approach our conference, Heavenly Calling Realms of Glory, which begins Wednesday night 7PM, my thirst has increased with my prayers. It feels like everyone’s thirst has increased. Thirst (our many needs) and faith (our believing) are bringing expectation of the Lord’s coming.

Last Thursday in one of our prayer meetings this phrase, “The Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified” (John 7:39b) jumped off the page, as I read it. What was this? Is there a
correlation today to the Holy Spirit being given—and glorifying Jesus? I know that historically the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, after Jesus had been glorified in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension—but many historical truths have a continual application as well.

I really paid attention, because of all the increased prayer (and the sensitivity it brings) along with the fact that I have, for the last two weeks, been praising Jesus continually. My fellowship is most often with the Father (as Jesus said He had ordained). But with my prayer for more Holy Spirit, my praise and prayer turned to Jesus. I believe there is a strong connection to glorifying Jesus, and the Holy Spirit being given.

If you believe this, begin glorifying Jesus in your life. Intentionally come to Him displaying your thirst. As you drink, let you faith rise for rivers of living water and join hundreds of other thirsty believers as we come and drink this week. The party starts on Wednesday at 7PM, then Thursday through Saturday at 10AM, 2PM, 4PM, and 7PM.
