I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Hades and of Death. Revelation 1:18
Jesus didn’t leave hell without His keys and neither will we. Let’s take a look at what He accomplished for us.
Jesus was raised for our Justification
Raised here means “To collect one’s faculties; to waken; i. e. rouse (literally from sleep, sitting, disease, from death). The Father spoke, “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.”
The Holy Spirit Raised Jesus from the Dead.
When the Father spoke, the Holy Spirit came rushing into hell. Jesus was raised from the dead and born again, a new creation, a life-giving spirit,
Jesus destroyed Him Who had Power of Death, that is, the Devil.
Destroy here means, “To render entirely idle or useless.” Jesus made the devil a non-entity, no longer a player in the game. Yes, the devil still walks about like a roaring lion, but he’s a lie, Jesus knows it, and so does the devil.
All authority Has Been Given to Jesus – Including the Devils Keys of Hades and Death.
Jesus took the keys that had brought Him captive, and unlocked captivity with them.
Jesus Disarmed Principalities, Powers Making a Public Display of Them.
Jesus not only disarmed Satan, He divested himself of all principalities and powers, publicly, raucously, making a triumphant procession of them, rising above them all.
Jesus went and preached to the spirits in prison.
Jesus was in no hurry to leave hell. Rather, He went and found the prisoners. Those who had been disobedient during the longsuffering of God in the days of Noah. I do not pretend to know what all this means but it’s in the bible (1 Peter 3:18-20) and it’s true.
Jesus led captivity captive.
Jesus gathered the captivity and captured them for Himself ascending on high. In heaven He washed away the stain of sin through His blood, making heaven accessible to man…and sat down. (more on this next week)
We will leave our hell the same way. Whatever has captured us will bow to the voice of God calling us into our conformity to Jesus as firstborn from the dead. Holy Spirit’s power raising us we will take the key from the one who enslaved us, as we divest ourselves of all powers. Raucously celebrating our liberation, we will preach to those who are being held captive and lead them to captivity in Jesus. Many will be saved. So there is no hurry to get out of our hell, and nothing gained through the experience without the keys. Don’t leave hell without the keys!

Sunday, 11 am: I will be sharing “Sent Before”. This powerful message will transform your vision of your hell into a place where God sent you to save you to save many. Watch as the Lord takes captivity captive first in our own lives, then in the lives of those around us. You will say “What is meant for harm, the Lord has determined for good and the saving of many.” This is a paradigm shifting message that the devil does not want you to hear.
