Your kingdom come; Your will be done.
The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes. Proverbs 21:1
Today, all the kings go to vote for their choice of who should be president, and on down. I have never prayed as much for a general election as I have this year. From the beginning of the year, I felt my prayers were to be this; “May Your kingdom come and may Your will be done in the election in the United States of America.” Short, simple, and sincere, the only prayer I could pray with faith, for the Lord to set His kingdom and will inside this election.
Today, may the Lord move hearts of men and women to choose His choice, as their votes are cast. I believe He will. May His church respond in Christlikeness and may there be no violence, riots, or greater division among Americans. May love arise among His people to bring Christ to all.
Whoever wins, I will pray for and serve, with the Lord being their king. I believe our job is the same with either outcome, or in-between outcome after today. Pray, vote, and then pray again. I have voted, please be the king you are and vote, as the Lord turns your heart like a river of water.
