Two weeks ago, I saw a thousand Annas and Simeons standing up in the Lord’s church to change the atmosphere from fear and dread into love and expectancy. They spoke of the coming of the Lord like Anna and Simeon of old, who carried the promise of seeing salvation.
It had been revealed to Simeon, by the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death until he had seen the Lord’s Christ. (Luke 2:26) There in the Temple, He came by the Spirit and picked up baby Jesus, only forty days old, and blessed God and said: “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word: for my eyes have seen Your salvation which you have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” Luke 2:29-32
Now, fast forward to the soon coming of Jesus into His temple, the church. God has promised to change the atmosphere into expectancy, faith, comfort, and redemption. By moving us out of the problems, we call our attention to the smallest of movements of the Holy Spirit as He announces that Jesus is coming.
Simeon saw the Lord’s salvation when He was less than two months old! Others would have to wait another thirty-three years to see. Simeon and Anna recognize Jesus in His first appearance and strengthen the young parents in their journey ahead.
Intercessors, worshippers, lovers of God, those born again in the Jesus movement are about to be reignited with the fire of the Holy Spirit. Thousands are entering into their greatest exploit in seeing, hearing, and believing. Tested, tried, and having lost much, this company of Annas and Simeons will shift the atmosphere of the church into expectancy, faith, and victory.
Can you hear the Holy Spirit calling you?
