Merry Christmas! Joyful Jesus is inside of us! We are His Christmas present, and He is ours. Everything else: sentiments, moments, and stuff (probably too much stuff), pales in the light of His glory and grace.

Jesus Joy!

Jesus is EVERYTHING for us. He is our joy, peace, and righteousness in the Holy Spirit. He is our Friend who understands us, our High Priest who intercedes for us, and the One who will never leave us nor forsake us. We can go ahead and let go! We can trust God and enjoy the day. Amen. This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Doesn’t matter if it’s too much or too little, too late or the wrong size, we are content in His love.

And the glory that He now lives in, He shares with us. We are fully restored into our place, prepared for us before time began. So whether we sit at the big table with the adults, or still at the kid’s table during the family meal; or whether we have no table or family to eat with at all, we have a place at His table, in the Father’s house. In fact, we have a mansion in the Father’s house. We have every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ (ref. John 14:2; Ephesians 1:3).

Grateful, Accepting and Full of Childlike Enjoyment!

The greatest blessing we can show Jesus today is gratitude for what He has done, acceptance for all He has brought, and childlike enjoyment in Him wherever we are. Receiving the gift He has given with childlike faith can awaken Christmas anywhere! He will take our tears and wipe them away. He will take out traumas and redeem them, as He stands up inside of us and says, “Here I am! I am living inside of you, loving you, accepting you. . . I receive you to Myself! Let My love overwhelm you, surround you, and define you. Allow My gift of righteousness to be everything; My grace to be sufficient in everything; and My strength to come to your weakness. . . I choose you today, just as the Father chose you in Me before time began, to be holy and without blame before Him in love. So you are holy and without blame before Me in love, My bride, My glorious church.”

Merry Christmas to us! May we spread the cheer, shine the light and smile at our future in Christ. What a wonderful gift we have received: Christ in us, the hope of glory!
