Jubilee is on the move, but we do not yet know where we are going.

There are some exciting transitions and big changes on our horizon! Two Sundays ago (March 16th), Brian and I shared the entire update on our current building, the prospect of another location, and my eventual retirement, thus transitioning the Lead Pastor role to Brian Rogers with Diana Anderson as his second in command.

The Building: Our current lease ends on July 31st. Throughout our years at the Calle Suerte address, we have expanded and contracted our real estate occupancy. We currently occupy 3 suites (2 for sanctuary, 1 for cafe’/children’s wing) and now the property values for this location have significantly increased. This week we will begin negotiations with the owners and decide soon after if we will remain at the Calle Suerte address or seek a new location to worship together as family.

Leadership Transitions: In our journey with the Lord, He often asks us to let go of something without telling us what He was fully doing. Over the past 5 months, the Lord has been speaking to Cammy and me about stepping away from our current roles as Senior Pastors to be available for what He wants to do next in both us and Jubilee. He hasn’t given many details or reasons (He rarely does), but His calling us unto Himself in a new capacity has been made quite clear. By May of 2026 Cammy and I plan to relinquish our leadership roles fully into Brian’s and Diana’s hands. We have no plans to leave Jubilee, we only know that the Lord is asking us to let go of leading the church as Senior Pastors.

Brian and Diana are carrying the message and the anointing to help everyone come into the fullness of what the Lord has given us these past forty years. They have been prepared for this, as well as our entire staff.

This past Sunday, March 23rd, Brian shared a fabulous message about following the Lord. To hear Brian’s message, click here

It is fascinating how the Holy Spirit always confirms His word to us. As I introduced Brian, I shared that I wanted everyone to learn to hear the voice of the Shepherd. I had no idea Brian would give that same message out of John 10! We never share each other’s notes before we speak so that we are not influenced by each other but only by the Holy Spirit.

In the last three months, the Lord has made clear that He knows what He is doing and that we are to trust Him completely. The life of trust and dependency is marked by obedience first and then His explanation over time (which Brian also spoke about). Rest comes to our souls when we look to Jesus and not to our circumstances for security. Cammy and I are excited about what is coming for all of us. Fortunately, we all have a year together in our current roles to enter into the discovery and changes being led by the Holy Spirit in righteousness, peace, and joy!

I find comfort in Abraham’s faith.

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8
