This weekend, as the Coronavirus continued its march across the world, I asked the Lord for a declaration, and in response, He gave me Solomon’s prayer at the Temple dedication (2 Chronicles 6:28-31), as well as the Lord’s answer (2 Chronicles 7:12-14). These scriptures I have included at the bottom of this email, both for additional reference and brevity’s sake.

Solomon’s prayer in essence:

During times of natural disaster, Solomon prayed we would bring our hearts to the Lord in sincerity and truth, without pointing the finger and without speaking of others’ wickedness. Instead, Solomon asked, “when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple” (2 Chronicles 6:29, NKJV), that the Lord would hear from heaven and forgive, since the Lord alone knows the hearts of the sons of men.

Solomon’s prayer mapped out:

  1. We are in trouble.
  2. We know our own burdens and grief—We own it.
  3. We lift our hands to You Lord.
  4. God, forgive our honest hearts and allow us to walk in Your ways.

The Lord’s promise in essence:

The Lord appeared to Solomon saying, “I have heard your prayer…If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV).

The Lord’s promise mapped out:

If My People who are called by My name will:

  1. Humble themselves.
  2. Pray to know their own burden and own grief—own their stuff.
  3. Seek My face.
  4. Turn from their wicked ways.

I will:

  1. Hear from heaven.
  2. Forgive their sins
  3. Heal their land.

Sonship is not slavery. Sonship is ownership, that begins when we can own our stuff. This does not happen during mass payer; but rather one heart at a time, until it spreads exponentially through every heart, allowing forgiveness to overtake sin, and the Lord to heal our land.  Rather than trying to figure out, “Who’s sin is it?” Let’s each of us humble ourselves before God with “Our own burden and our own grief, and spread out our hands to heaven.” He is faithful, and He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

This is the decree the Lord has given to me.

We are forming “Wellness Teams” to connect the body in prayer, faith, hope, and love. If you would like to be involved with reaching out by phone, text, email, and prayer, please email us at myCity@jubileechurch.org

WEDNESDAY 7:00 pm, I will be equipping the saints in “Abiding in Christ.” As we abide in Jesus, His words abide in us. Come to be fitted and empowered in Christ.

SUNDAY 10:00 am, I will be sharing “Turning our losses into Gain.” As we prepare for Passover on Wednesday, April 8th, and Resurrection Sunday on April 12th, we must remove the old leaven in order to keep the feast of unleavened bread with sincerity and truth. If you have the time, please read and meditate on Philippians chapter 3.

“‘When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemies besiege them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows his own burden and his own grief, and spreads out his hands to this temple: then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men), that they may fear You, to walk in Your ways as long as they live in the land which You gave to our fathers’” (2 Chronicles 6:28-31, NKJV).

“Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: ‘I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land’” (2 Chronicles 7:12-14, NKJV).
