To see rightly, we must see from heaven.

Recently the Lord called me up to see from heaven what He is doing on earth. I found myself in Revelation Chapter Four.

John, who had received the seven letters to the seven churches, now received the revelation of Jesus Christ given to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. (Revelation 1:1)

After these things, I looked and behold a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice [Revelation 1:10] which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” Immediately I was in the Spirit and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. Revelation 4:1, 2

For Jesus to show John what was coming, He had to bring John from where all action begins and ends, the throne of God. There, John saw the throne and the twenty-four thrones around the throne. Seated were twenty-four elders clothed in white with golden crowns upon their heads. From the throne proceeded lightnings, thunders, and voices with the Seven lamps before the throne which are the seven Spirits of God. (Revelation 4:3-11)

As I pondered on the meaning of this I began to see.

The government of God has been placed on the shoulders of Jesus the Anointed, our High Priest, our King of Righteous and King of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6, 7; 11:1-5. Zechariah 6:9-15)

The truth shown me was that God’s government on the Son was discerned from where He sits next to the right of God. Only there can we discern the things that must shortly take place. The “Must” is not the work of darkness nor the wickedness throughout the earth, but the “Must” is God.

I am writing all this, not to tell you what I am seeing; that is for later. I am writing this to call up! There is a door standing open in heaven, a door into the throne set in heaven. Psalms 2, 45, 110 are beautiful places of meditation, as well as Revelation 4, 5, 7, 11, 15, 19, 21, 22.

Let us gaze into heaven and see the glory of the Lord.
