All things are racing toward Jesus Christ.

Do you know the mystery of His will? What is the will of God for us? We found out last week, that it is to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks. This simple practice is inside our praise as we exalt the Lord, resulting in God’s perfect will for us in Christ Jesus. But where is all this taking us?

This practice is one of yielding to Christ and His faith, and therefore there is a set outcome from the Lord. It is Oneness in Christ, which is so much bigger than any one of us because it is the summation of all in One in Christ.

Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fulness of the times He might gather together in one, all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth—in Him. Ephesians 1: 9, 10

Years ago, I was cleaning a bathroom at our old house. I remember right where I was, kneeling on the carpet leaning over the threshold into the bathroom when the Lord spoke to me. “I am transforming My church from fear and competition to a house of love and completion.” I was shocked. I thought, “What planet are You, on?” But the Lord was adamant, confident, and committed.

Around that time, I was praying back to the Lord, Ephesians 1, every day. More praise and declaring these the in-Christ truth of our salvation. Then one day, I came to “That in the fulness of the dispensation of the times He might gather together in one, all things in Christ.” That is, it! I immediately lifted my hands and said, “I yield all of me to the will of God to gather all of us in One in Christ.” Funny when we know what the Lord is going to do, we can yield to His doing it, long before He does.

Today, years since the awareness of the Lord’s will, summing us up in ONE in Christ, it has now become my daily praise. I can feel the Holy Spirit brooding over the entire body of Christ both in heaven and on earth in one in Christ. Trauma, drama, brokenness, tears, jeers, offenses, death, darkness, captivity, anything that is holding His body from being the fulness of Christ will give way.

It has begun. All we need to do is to yield to His truth in His word, and the Holy Spirit in His church.

Last week, I began a three-week series called “We Shall Be One.” To watch on demand, click here.
