Merry Christmas!

Within the glory of God, the joy of Christmas is available to us this Christmas Eve and every day. Joseph and Mary’s circumstances were beyond their control, but they were inside the glory of God, and bringing fulfillment to the Word of God. It wasn’t Caesar who had decided to tax the world, but rather God who was bringing His Son to the place of prophetic fulfillment. Maybe your Christmas Eve feels a little out of control and crazy, but it’s still inside of His glory. Paul said that his light affliction was for a moment and working for a far more eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17).

This Christmas, regardless of the circumstances, let’s all step into the glory of God that is surrounding us and expect God’s help. We can keep ourselves in the love of God by looking for the mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ into eternal life (Jude 21). All that is required, is to let go of our loss of control, and look for the mercies of Jesus to find us. A moment in His presence fills our hearts with peace, joy, and love. Christmas is a miracle every day, because Jesus is dwelling in our hearts every day by faith.

Regardless of the circumstances, Christ is Lord, He is good, and He is victorious. Yes, there are many things beyond our control. In fact, everything is beyond our control, unless we make our world so small that we manage everything within (but then, what fun would that be?). Let go, let God, and enter into His glory. May we all see the glory that the shepherds saw and hear the decree they heard. “Then the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord’” (Luke 2:10-11, NKJV).
