LOCATION: Camarillo Grove Park, 6968 Camarillo Springs Rd, Camarillo 93012 (Off the Camarillo Springs off ramp). Parking is $3.00 per vehicle. There are public restrooms close to our site. All times listed below are estimates.
FOOD:
Bring your own picnic lunch. We will have the BBQ fires ready for anything you would like to cook. There is a sink by the large BBQ.
Bring your own utensils, plates and drinks. We will start eating at 12:15pm after the Obstacle Course.
BBQ Contest and CHILI Cook off will be judged at 12:30pm. All are encouraged to participate, but prior registration is required. All entries must be received by Wednesday 5/23/18. Sign up in TOM (Our informational center) or email: jubilee@jubileechurch.org. You can keep your entries hot on the grill prior to judging.
COMFORT:
Bring your lawn chair, blanket, sun screen, sweaters, change of clothes, or anything else you would like for comfort. There are tables and benches under an awning at the park, for eating.
ACTIVITIES:
RACES
11:15am Fun Run
All are welcome to join this 1/4 mile lap run. It would add to the fun to get a sponsor who will contribute whatever amount for each lap you run, but not necessary. Be at the park by 11:am.
11:40am Obstacle Course
There will be a large inflated obstacle section, hurdles, small tunnel frame, riding balls, low balance beam, a 6.5’ rock wall, step-in tires, etc. Some of these sections will have water sprays. Bring a change of clothes and a towel. Wear active wear and sports shoes. There will be a run for adults and one for kids.
1:15pm Sack Race
We have both kids’ sized and adult sized bags. All will race at the same time.
3 Legged Race
We have ankle ties that connect two runners together and a group tie for 4 participants to run together.
MORE FUN
Balloon Toss 12:30pm
Participants toss a water balloon back and forth. The last one with an un-popped balloon wins.
Piñatas 12:45pm
There will be two Piñatas. One for kids and one for adults. All are welcome to try your hand at breaking it or just getting its bounty.
Fishing Pond 12:45pm
There will be a small pool so kids can go “fishing”. There are toy prizes for those who “catch” a plastic fish with a magnet.
Armenian Dance Lesson and music will start at 2:15pm. All are welcome to join the fun!
ONGOING FUN
Horseshoes, Cornhole and Water Shooter Target will be available for anyone who would like to play throughout the picnic.
