I thank God for the Bible, for it is how I know the truth.
Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5:19, 20
When we wander from the truth, we wander into missing the mark and into error, and it happens subtly. I thank God every day for the Bible, for it is how I know truth, and it is how the Lord knows me. I want to encourage and charge every one of us to return to bible reading. We have the best guide to encountering Jesus daily in the scriptures. To learn more, begin today, click here.
The Bible is truth; it is Spirit and life; it is living a powerful sharper than a two-edged sword. But only if we read it. We will wander from the truth if we do not abide in the word. If we abide in the word, we will be sanctified and kept from the evil on.
I beg you to read the five sections in the scriptures we are reading together daily and witness the Holy Spirit transform you through the renewing of your mind. It is much easier to keep our minds stayed on Him when we are daily in His word.
In two weeks, we will begin a special forty-day reading of the gospels overlayed chapters, where we witness the same parables, miracles, teachings, and ministry of Jesus.
