“…O you afflicted one, Tossed with tempest, and not comforted, Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, And lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of rubies, Your gates of crystal, And all your walls of precious stones. All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake….”(Isaiah 54:11-15)

As we read Isaiah 54, we hear what the Lord is saying to us right now. He is reaffirming to us, “I am your husband; I am your maker; I am your redeemer. It takes faith, to hear and believe this, when we are grieved or in the midst of a valley season. But with His great mercies, and with His everlasting kindness, and faithfulness, He is gathering us.

Our faith and trust delights the heart of the Father far more than a religious mindset that says, “I will accomplish what I set out to do and will be rewarded because I did what I set out to do”. Many of us will try to make our promises happen. We hold firm that we can’t let go of the promise, but we don’t know how to accomplish it.

Instead, we trust, worship and believe, and THIS is where He comes and meets us. This is where His resurrection is seen. We may not know how redemption breaks in, but it does break in, in huge ways whenever we have found out selves forsaken, grieved or refused.

Everything is eclipsed by eternity. This is the power of resurrection. The power of resurrection only works for dead people. It’s at the point where we let go, that our redeemer comes and resurrects us.
