The words Jesus spoke are Spirit and Life.
After Camarillo’s devastating fire last Wednesday, there is much loss of property, and emotions are frayed, spent, and traumatized. With questions and few answers, please pray for our city to recover fully. The word of God is a source of patience and comfort that brings hope. Today is a good day to immerse ourselves in His Word.
In my last three years of immersion in the Scriptures, I feel like I have been dropped into the waters of life. The longer I stay in, the more I see, hear, and understand, which leads me to a Jesus Encounter. I turn to Jesus and He heals me.
Scripture is life, alive, and Spirit. If we want, we can say it’s Jesus; the Word was made flesh and now sits at the right hand of God. What I have discovered inside scriptures is truth makes me free. Freedom comes in knowing truth, Jesus prayed to the Father, “Your word is truth.”
For years, I sought to bring scripture into my life, my reality, and shift my reality to conform to the word. What I have found is that by submitting to full immersion, simply reading, seeing, hearing, that I am being transformed into the truth I am hearing. In other words, I am being sanctified from an earthly perspective to a heavenly one. My emotions, my thoughts, my words are changing inside the Word.
I am hungry for more, thirsty to drink, and I am placing myself inside His Word throughout the day, and everything is changing.
I am hopeful that our Jesus Encounter Groups, that we are starting next year, will provide for all of us discoveries of our Glorious Lord in His Word. Today, start reading where we are in the scriptures. Yesterday’s email gave this week’s reading. Read, listen, see, turn and let Jesus make you free.
