Sukkot is HERE! We are now in the biggest and best Feast, the last Feast given. In this Feast, the Temple was dedicated by Solomon, the walls by Nehemiah. In this Feast, Jesus stood up and prophesied the Holy Spirit River coming! As He stood up in the Temple, He boldly declared, “‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’” (John 7:37, 38, NKJV).
In Sukkot, or the “Feast of Tabernacles”, the early and latter rain were promised (See Joel 2: 23, 24). Here, in Sukkot, debts were forgiven (See Deuteronomy 15:1, 2; 31:10). In Sukkot, the Word of God was read; it renewed the people, as joy became strength and celebration! (See Deuteronomy 31:10-13). Joy and gladness came as a result of the goodness of the Lord as He demonstrated to Israel, again and again, that He is Lord! (See Nehemiah 8:17, as “there was very great gladness”; also 2 Chronicles 7:10).
There is none other like Jesus! He is able to perform His promises and bring Israel, and all who are His, into their inheritance!
Sukkah (booths) were built to live in and palm branches cut to wave to the Lord. Likewise, in the Millennial reign of Christ to come, all the nations of the earth will come to Jerusalem each year to celebrate Sukkot (See Zechariah 14). I can’t imagine what the airport in Israel will be like—quite busy– although maybe we won’t need an airport by then; we’ll all just translate! However it will all transpire, it will be glorious.
Jesus is all this and much, much more. He is Lord!
He is able to perform His promises! He is coming back as Faithful and True! He is the Word of God! He has a sword that comes out of His mouth to slay His enemies as they fall under the power of conviction like Saul of Tarsus, a mad man bent on destroying the Church; but who, instead, encountered the LIVING GOD and rose from the ground an apostle, sent to bring from the Gentiles a people for God! Out of every people, tongue, tribe and nation, we are redeemed and made kings and priests unto our God. And we get to reign on the earth.
Our conference is going to be the biggest, greatest demonstration of the Holy Spirit: making Jesus even more FAMOUS! He, our Lord, is lifted up so that all men can be drawn to Him. This whole week ahead, take time and enter into the joy of the Lord. Declare His faithfulness and expect His fulfillments. Watch and see as the Lord draws near to His Bride!
For the Holy Spirit and the Bride say, “Come!”
