As we settle into this New Year, we are given exceedingly great and precious promises. This is so that we might partake in God’s divine nature and escape the corruption that is in this world. The goal is to partake and not escape. When we partake, we escape without trying to, because the lust factor is dealt with inside of love and trust.
Presence is everything. Moses wouldn’t leave the wilderness without God’s promise that His presence would go with them. Presence is found through Jesus Christ. He made for us a new and living way into the presence of God. Acknowledging Jesus as the way, the truth and the life brings us into the presence of the Father through Him. Here we stand in Christ, holy and without blame, before our Father in love.
Promise is our union. When we are given a promise in His word through His voice, from experiences in His presence, with visions and dreams, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise who is our guarantee of the inheritance promised. Holy Spirit will commune with us in promise. He is the Presence behind the veil where Jesus is. Promise is union and joins us into His nature through faith hope and love.
Power keeps us. There is every reason for us to fail, but only one reason we won’t–Jesus. Jesus, has given us the Holy Spirit to remind, to guide, to keep, to reveal and to show us everything that is ours in Christ. He is the power to be a witness. We are kept by the power of God and will be victorious in either death or life. We have power to lay down our lives and to pick them up again. Power of the Holy Spirit is trust. I am not a victim; I am victorious. I am not forsaken; I am kept by the power of God.
Presence Promise and Power forever ours in Christ! Now to be experienced, matured, and demonstrated in our lives.
