Prodigals

Last Sunday, we placed the names of prodigals in baskets on the altar, in obedience to our Lord’s leading in prayer on Wednesdays. “Bring My sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth – everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Isaiah 43:6, 7 These names will remain in the baskets, before the Lord, through Father’s Day, June 19th. You may add names at any time to these baskets of blessing at church or online at our website.

Pentecost

Sunday, June 5th is Pentecost. Yesterday, we began reading Colossians. We are preparing our hearts by reading Kingdom Epistles through Wednesday, May 25th. After this, we will launch into selected Epistles, Psalms and Prophets for ten days leading up to Pentecost. I hope you are reading aloud daily our readings and that you are being as blessed as I am. I am reading these as though I had never read them; and that they were all I had to understand the gospel of His kingdom.

Politicians

June 7th is California’s primary election. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1 Timothy 2:1-6

Prodigals returning, Pentecost coming, and Politicians coming to the knowledge of the truth.
