This year, Thanksgiving will be different; But it doesn’t have to be sad. It can be the most joyous day we have had in all our Thanksgivings.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Always, without ceasing, and in everything… How is this possible? Because it’s God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.
In Christ Jesus, there is joy. It’s His joy inexpressible in His words He speaks and faith that we receive. In Christ Jesus, there are prayers to be prayed where the peace of God comes and guards our hearts and minds. Did you know that the first sign of answered prayer is the peace of God coming to guard our hearts and mind? It is. Giving thanks in everything is our inheritance in Christ Jesus, and it so secures our place in Christ. It’s hard for the devil to drive us out of our inheritance while we are giving thanks!
