1My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. – 1 John 1:1-2

In his first epistle, John the Beloved tenderly writes to the Church of His beloved Jesus and His purpose toward us. The word propitiation is ATONEMENT: the act of making satisfaction for a crime or offense, by which the guilt is done away and the obligation of the offended person to punish the crime is cancelled.

There has always only been one who can remove the sin guilt of man before God: the High Priest.  GOOD NEWS!  Jesus Christ, Who ascended into heaven, and is seated beside the Father, is fulfilling His now purpose as our Great High Priest, interceding for those He purchased by His perfect sacrifice, reciting the Father’s great and precious promises over our lives. RIGHT NOW!

Atonement restores relationship between God and mankind. Without it, we are all utterly lost; no matter how cunning, wise, intelligent, resourceful, or “holy” we may see ourselves to be. The Son of Man alone ATONED for the sin of all mankind. He made a way of return for me.

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. – Hebrews 4:14-16

We become what we behold. Perhaps, like King David, you will choose to “not give to the Lord that which cost you nothing.” Our conference begins on Thursday night. To attend every session, you would only need to take one day off of work (Friday).  The price of the conference is $45 and includes 5 sessions, 5 meals, with a Q & A lunch on Saturday.  Our main speakers are Larry Napier and Steve Dittmar, with other special guests.

I pray you will join me for this moment of visitation.

“12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

13 I write to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.

I write to you, young men, Because you have overcome the wicked one.

I write to you, little children, Because you have known the Father.

14 I have written to you, fathers, Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.

I have written to you, young men, Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,

And you have overcome the wicked one.” – 1 John 2:12-14
