God has commanded the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ, to shine in our hearts. When we behold Jesus in His glory, as the resurrected Son of Man, we are transformed into that same image, just as from glory to glory. We are transformed, because we have already been adopted as sons through faith in Jesus’ resurrection. Now, we have been given the honor of growing up into Him in all things.
We see—we become. It does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He appears we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is. Our transformation from old to new; from outward man to inner man, from natural to spiritual, is through beholding the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit helps us by making experiential what might only be conceptual. He breaths on us, reveals Jesus to us and glorifies Jesus, so that we might receive all that Jesus has. The word of God becomes our blueprint to becoming. The word spoken, as the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus in the scriptures, renews our minds, saving our souls from fear and control. Now we can abide in Jesus (by the Holy Spirit) and have Jesus words abide in us (by the Holy Spirit).
We can experience the glory of God everyday. We can expect God to shine the light of the knowledge of His glory in our hearts, in the face of Jesu, the word of God, and the Holy Spirit shining the light of the glory of God in the face of Jesus. All we do is behold and become, to see Jesus and experience His glory. There is literally no end to our becoming all that Jesus has become. And what a glorious thing it will be, when we appear with Him in glory.
Last week, The Living Whole Seminar was amazing because of the faith, and pull of the 100 plus who joined, and because of the opportunity given to understand ourselves better so we can freely yield to God’s glory. You can catch the three sessions again, or for the first time, by clicking here.
