Last night it rained. It wasn’t a heavy rain, just enough to wet the earth and towel wash my cars with my grandson in the morning. Last night, also began Sukkoth/Feast of Tabernacles and with it the promise of the former and latter rains. Joel 2:21-32

Jesus made this promise too at the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles (The eighth day) when He promised, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-39. This became fulfilled when Jesus was glorified and sent the Holy Spirit. It continues today as our inheritance. Jesus is glorified, our great High Priest, after the order of Melchizedek. His intercession is alive before the Father, calling fulfillment to all our promises.

We begin Resurrection Life this Wednesday night, and with it the promise of rain! The former and later rain. A great outpouring of the Holy Spirit where Jesus, our glorified High Priest, will be worshipped and His power manifested. I do hope you can come. Here is one of the promises Joel prophesied regarding the rain and Holy Spirit for this week.

“You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.” Joel 2:26
