“…being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.” (Acts 4:2, NKJV)
Consider this man Jesus, that on His resurrection brought to all mankind the resurrection from the dead. In His being made alive, we were made alive together with Him. In His resurrection, we were raised together with Him and seated together with Him in heavenly places, to receive His kindness throughout eternity. (Ephesians 2:4-7)
Now let’s imagine our dead places where the thief came, stole, killed, and destroyed.
In Jesus is the resurrection!
Resurrection in Greek is the word “anastasis,” and means “a standing up again, i.e., a resurrection from death.” In Jesus, through faith in His resurrection, we stand up again and again and again. We are a new creation, old things having passed away. Resurrection in Jesus is a perpetual state of being in Christ. Salvation, healing, and deliverance all find their source in a saved man, healed and delivered once for all. He perpetually receives salvation, healing, and deliverance for all of us. We come in, we receive, and we proclaim in Jesus the resurrection from death.
What a great way to prepare for resurrection Sunday, by praising and receiving in Jesus our resurrection, today!
