And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Luke 2:26
Simeon was a just and devout man who was waiting for the Consolation (the Lord’s Messiah) of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. Simeon was waiting with anticipation, with confidence and patience. He was ready to admit and receive the Consolation of Israel.
His heart was filled with anticipated hope, Simeon was encouraged and empowered and brought into a revelation given by the Holy Spirit. Simeon would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Today, there is another Simeon revelation being given to believers worldwide, who are waiting for the Completion of His church.
The revelation: You will not see death until you see the Lord’s Christ appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Hebrews 9:28 God is preparing the way for His Son’s return by calling those who hear, to rise in expectation, faith, and patience. Moving out of the conflicts that abound to lifting- up their eyes to see redemption drawing near.
Simeon saw Salvation when He was only forty days old, from His birth mother. He held Salvation in His arms and blessed God. “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; for my eyes have see Your salvation which you have prepared before the face of all people.” Luke 2:29, 30
Simeon blessed Mary and Joseph, empowering their faith to move forward in their assignment to raise Jesus “strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God upon Him.” Luke 2:40
Today, the body of the living Christ is being strengthen with might through the Spirit for Christ to dwell in our hearts by faith, to be strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God to be upon us.
Forerunner voices begin with a forerunner promise which come to those eagerly waiting for the appearance of Christ, the second time. The Fellowship of His Return.
So he came by the Spirit into the Temple. Luke 2:27 “And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple. Malachi 3:1
