In 1999, Jubilee was in revival. Every Sunday night Cammy and I would host up to one hundred children from elementary to high school ages for encounters with God in our Sanctuary. It was during this time we saw the power of childlike faith.
Over and over again, we would give the kids the slightest direction in prayer–encouraging them to follow the Holy Spirit’s lead. The children would then enter in and continue beyond where we started. Like the Pevensie siblings in C. S. Lewis’ book: The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, we watched as the children could imagine their way through old coats in a wardrobe into the forest of Narnia.
This Wednesday, October 27th, we will step into encounters with the Holy Spirit and truth from 6:00 pm till 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary. We have ten portals (doors in the Sanctuary) where extensive prayers have been prayed. Here, we will lead others into adventures in Jesus–experiences in the Spirit that have happened before.
There is no experience is necessary to participate this Wednesday, only willingness to humble ourselves and become as little children to enter through the door of faith. Two weeks ago, I was prompted by the Holy Spirit while in prayer to have this event. I know the Father is planning something special in bringing many sons into His Son’s glory this Wednesday!
